A residential complex of 70 apartments and 6 x 3-storey townhouses overlooking Port Philip Bay designed for the Gillon Group & Abacus Property Group.
The architecture is contemporary whilst being expressive of traditional residential building with the use of the floating framed structure and its ribbons of glass referencing balconies and pergolas which are common place throughout Bayside.
Large private courtyards and communal spaces surround the building and penetrate into the central zones to modulate and separate the built form into fingers of structure set into a garden space.
This project won both the 2010 UDIA State & National awards for best medium density housing project.
JDA Architects achieved approval of a 4-storey building in a 2-storey height control zoning at VCAT.
